原生於高濕度森林中，附生於大型喬木樹幹上。

亞洲猴腦鹿角蕨為鹿角蕨屬中極具辨識度的種類之一，
其成熟後營養葉高度皺褶、層層包覆，形成立體籠狀結構，外觀常被形容為「猴腦」

給水後需確保良好通風，使水苔球逐步乾燥，形成穩定乾濕循環，
避免長時間過濕或完全乾透，忌大濕大乾。
